School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team in Martinez, CA! Job Details:

• 8 hrs/day (4 days a week) - 32 hrs/week

• Elementary and Middle School (2 sites) - Flexible Schedule:Choose to spend two days a week splitting morning sessions at junior high and afternoons at elementary, or devote one full day to the junior high caseload of 5.

• Elementary are speech only kiddos, not Special Day Class

• Middle schoolers are Moderate/Severe (only 5)

• Caseload: approximately 44 (5 of which are Junior High)

• Start Date - ASAP

• End Date - June 4, 2026

• Pay starting at $50/hr (dependent on experience)

Qualifications:

• Valid CA state Speech Language Pathology Assistant license required

• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs preferred

Responsibilities:

As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant with Birch Agency, you will:

• Work under a team of SLPs

• Evaluate students referred with speech/language disorders to determine degree and severity

• Provide Speech Therapy to students with a wide variety of disabilities

• Complete appropriate paperwork following state guidelines

• Attend IEP Meetings

• Confer with parents and develop home programs when necessary

• Consult with Teachers

• Work as a part of Special Ed team

• Provide thorough and accurate documentation in a timely fashion
