Position Overview

Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing how people design, engineer, and build. Autodesk is creating a new generation of agentic experiences that enable customers to accomplish meaningful business outcomes through human-AI collaboration. 
 
We are seeking an exceptional product executive to serve as Senior Director, Product Management – Agentic Experience Platform, responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Autodesk's Agentic Experience Platform and leading the investments that will shape how millions of customers interact with Autodesk in the AI era. 
 
Reporting to the Vice President of Experience Foundations, you will lead the Product Management organization responsible for Autodesk's Agentic Experience Platform—a strategic platform that spans Autodesk's products, services, and AI capabilities. Working closely with Design Frameworks, Engineering, AI Platform, Research, Data Science, Content Strategy, and Product organizations, you will define the shared capabilities that enable intelligent experiences across Autodesk rather than within individual products. 
 
Unlike traditional product leadership roles focused on a single application or portfolio, this role defines a shared platform that enables AI-native experiences across industries, products, and workflows. You will establishthe product vision, investment strategy, governance, and roadmap for capabilities that can be adopted broadly across Autodesk. 
 
Success requires balancing bold long-term vision with disciplined execution, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared customer outcomes, and building an organization capable of delivering transformational innovation at scale.

This role is remote-friendly within North America. For those who prefer in-office or hybrid work, the role can be based in San Francisco, CA; Portland, OR; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; or Toronto, ON. Travel requirements are approximately 20%. 
 
Responsibilities 

  • Define and evangelize the long-term vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Autodesk's Agentic Experience Platform

  • Establish the investment strategy and portfolio priorities that maximize customer value and long-term business impact

  • Define the customer problems, critical user journeys, and business outcomes the platform will address

  • Establish success metrics, platform health indicators, and outcome-based KPIs to guide investment decisions and measure impact

  • Ensure the platform evolves as a durable strategic capability that differentiates Autodesk in the AI era

  • Define Autodesk's product strategy for agentic AI experiences including intelligent assistants, conversational interfaces, workflow orchestration, and intelligent automation 

  • Partner with AI Platform and Engineering leaders to deliver reusable capabilities that accelerate innovation across Autodesk

  • Establish product principles that ensure AI experiences are trustworthy, transparent, explainable, secure, and aligned with customer expectations

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, competitive trends, and evolving customer needs to continuously inform platform direction

  • Champion experimentation and modern AI product development practices that accelerate learning and improve customer outcomes

  • Champion customer-centered product strategies focused on complete workflows rather than individual features

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer jobs-to-be-done and identify opportunities where intelligent orchestration removes friction across products and industries

  • Lead product discovery through customer research, experimentation, analytics, and rapid validation

  • Partner closely with Experience Design and Content Strategy to create cohesive, intuitive, and trusted human-AI experiences

  • Balance long-term platform evolution with incremental customer value delivered through continuous iteration

  • Align Product, Design, Engineering, and Industry leaders around shared platform priorities and customer outcomes

  • Build strong partnerships across Research, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, and ecosystem partners to accelerate adoption

  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities that extend the value of Autodesk's Agentic Experience Platform

  • Represent the platform internally and externally, communicating Autodesk's vision for agentic experiences to customers, partners, and executives

  • Build, lead, coach, and inspire a world-class Product Management organization focused on platform innovation

  • Establish Autodesk's operating model for agentic experiencesproduct management, including governance, product methodologies, and decision-making frameworks

  • Foster a culture of curiosity, customer obsession, experimentation, accountability, and continuous learning

  • Develop future product leaders who excel at navigating ambiguity, influencing across organizations, and delivering transformational customer experiences

  • Build an organization recognized as trusted strategic partners to Product, Design, Engineering, and executive leadership

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 15+ years of experience in AI-first, cloud-based software product management, including significant experience leading Product Management organizations

  • 7+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing Product Management leaders and teams

  • Proven experience defining and delivering platform products, shared services, or cross-product capabilities at enterprise scale

  • Demonstrated success building AI-powered, intelligent, or agentic software experiences that combine customer value with measurable business outcomes

  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to connect customer journeys across multiple products, platforms, and services

  • Track record defining long-term product vision and translating strategy into successful execution and adoption

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Design, Engineering, Research, Data Science, and AI

  • Expertise in product discovery, experimentation, customer research, data-informed decision making, and modern product development

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience building AI assistants, conversational interfaces, intelligent workflow automation, agentic systems, or AI platform capabilities

  • Experience leading platform products adopted across multiple product organizations

  • Experience with cloud platforms, AI infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, or developer ecosystems

  • Experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, or adjacent design and engineering industries

  • Passion for applying AI and product innovation to help designers, engineers, builders, and makers imagine, design, and make a better world

  • MBA or advanced technical degree

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $206,000 and $369,050. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
