The Opportunity

Superhuman is hiring a Senior People Programs Manager to own and scale the programs that shape the employee lifecycle as we grow. This role spans, but is not limited to, onboarding, performance management, engagement, manager enablement, recognition, and career pathing — the connective tissue that makes the employee experience feel intentional at every stage.

You'll take programs through their full lifecycle — design, execution, and measurement — building repeatable systems that scale with the company rather than one-off efforts that break as we add headcount.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who translates ambiguous or competing needs into structured plans with clear owners and success criteria — and who uses data to know whether a program is actually working.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and scale programs across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, appropriate for Superhuman’s current and future size.

  • Translate ambiguous or competing needs into structured programs with clear phases, owners, success criteria, and timelines.

  • Act as a systems-thinker, helping bring structure to how the People Team sets priorities and makes decisions.

  • Manage multiple programs in parallel, keeping cadence and communication tight across stakeholders.

  • Drive adoption and enablement, including leading training for employees and managers when appropriate.

  • Define leading and lagging indicators (completion rates, engagement scores, manager adoption, calibration outcomes, and the like) to evaluate program health and inform iteration.

  • Contribute to cross-functional work that touches People, Legal, and Finance, often in partnership with embedded EA and Ops leads.

Qualifications

We're seeking a clarity-first operator who knows how to zoom in and out. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in People programs, HR/People operations, or a related field, with a track record of owning programs end-to-end.

  • A builder's mindset — comfortable creating structure where none exists and turning ambiguity into clear plans with owners and timelines.

  • Strong program management skills, with the ability to run multiple programs in parallel without dropping threads.

  • A data orientation — you define success metrics up front and use them to judge whether a program is working.

  • Experience partnering across People sub-functions (People Partners, People Ops) and with cross-functional teams like Finance, Legal, and IT.

  • Bonus: consulting experience, or time at a fast-growing global company juggling a lot of moving pieces and people.

Compensation and benefits

Superhuman offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package encompassing the following and more:

  • Excellent health care (including a wide range of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and fertility benefits)

  • Disability and life insurance options

  • 401(k) and RRSP matching

  • Paid parental leave

  • 20 days of paid time off per year, 12 days of paid holidays per year, two floating holidays per year, and flexible sick time

  • Generous stipends (including those for caregiving, pet care, wellness, your home office, and more)

  • Annual professional development budget and opportunities

Superhuman takes a market-based approach to compensation, so base pay may vary by location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.
