Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods. BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB: All teaching assistants are chosen directly by faculty members. Individual faculty members are responsible for publicizing any available teaching assistant positions for their course(s). Golden Gate University School of Psychology maintains a pool of qualified individuals who would like to provide administrative or academic support as a Teaching Assistant. At this time there may not be an immediate vacancy, but candidates may provide their application to this posting. Serve as teaching assistant for first-year or upper-level courses. Provide substantive course reviews and consult with enrolled students to provide additional guidance and instruction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Teaching assistants work closely with students as defined by the professor. May be asked to attend class meetings, conduct review sessions, explain model questions and answers, and meet with individuals or small groups of students during designated office hours. Teaching assistants in skills courses may be asked to supervise or coach a team of students in a simulated exercise. Other duties may be assigned.   Qualifications A BS, BA, Master's degree or other relevant degree. BrightSpace LMS platform knowledge
