The Senior Technical Systems Analyst is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling enterprise-grade automation and low-code solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform—with a strong emphasis on Power Automate, Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven), and Dataverse.This role is ideal for a candidate who has led and delivered real-world Power Platform solutions end-to-end, including workflow automation, custom business applications, system integrations, and data modeling. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT, and leadership to modernize internal processes, eliminate manual work, and enable data-driven operations.
Your work will directly support the organization’s digital transformation strategy by replacing legacy workflows with secure, scalable, and maintainable Power Platform solutions.
This position is based in our San Francisco (Geary Blvd) office, with flexibility for hybrid or remote work as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
Power Platform Solution Design & Delivery (Primary Focus)
Design, build, and deploy production-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse
Lead end-to-end solution delivery, including:
Requirements gathering
Data modeling in Dataverse
App design (Canvas and/or Model-driven)
Workflow orchestration with Power Automate
Integrations with Microsoft 365, Azure, and third-party systems
Develop reusable components, flows, and app patterns that support scalability and governance
Implement error handling, logging, performance optimization, and monitoring for Power Automate flows
Ensure solutions follow Power Platform best practices, security roles, environment strategy, and ALM standards
Process Analysis & Automation Strategy
Analyze complex business processes to identify high-impact automation and app opportunities
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical designs aligned with Power Platform capabilities
Partner with stakeholders to prioritize use cases based on ROI, complexity, and operational impact
Produce solution documentation, architecture diagrams, and workflow maps
Integration & Data Architecture
Design integrations between Power Platform and:
Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook)
Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, APIs)
Enterprise systems (CRM Hubspot, ERP, case management, document management)
Architect Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, and security models
Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise data and integration standards
Technical Leadership & Governance
Serve as a Power Platform subject matter expert (SME) for the organization
Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentoring to analysts and developers
Collaboration & Communication
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Present solution designs, tradeoffs, and progress updates to leadership
Act as a trusted technical advisor during planning, execution, and optimization phases
Required Core Technical Skills
Microsoft Power Automate
Advanced flow design (triggers, actions, conditions, loops, expressions)
Error handling, retries, approvals, and complex branching logic
Microsoft Power Apps
Canvas Apps (required)
Model-driven Apps (strongly preferred)
Dataverse
Data modeling, relationships, security roles, and business rules
Power Platform integrations with SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and APIs
Power Platform ALM concepts (solutions, environments, deployment strategies)
Additional Technical Skills
Familiarity with Azure services supporting Power Platform (Logic Apps, Azure AD, API Management)
Experience with system integration patterns and iPaaS concepts
Understanding of enterprise application architecture and workflow orchestration
Analytical & Soft Skills
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to decompose complex processes
Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
Security & Compliance
Understanding of data protection, access control, and security design, especially in healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environments
Experience implementing role-based access and least-privilege principles within Power Platform
Preferred Skills
Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, PL-600)
Power Platform community contributions, blogs, or public solutions
Experience with:
Power BI
Azure DevOps or GitHub for solution management
JavaScript, Power Fx, or REST APIs
Familiarity with process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart)
Required Qualifications
Experience
7+ years in systems analysis, application development, or technical solution delivery
3+ years of hands-on, production experience with Microsoft Power Platform
Demonstrated delivery of multiple Power Automate flows and Power Apps used by real business users
Proven experience leading automation or low-code initiatives from concept to production
Experience supporting regulated or complex environments (healthcare strongly preferred)
COMPENSATION:
Range: $120,000 - $138,000/Annual
