The Olympic Club, a private member athletic and country club in San Francisco, seeks an Assistant Squash Camp Coach for our downtown City Clubhouse. At The Olympic Club, our members enjoy 2 campuses, 19 sports, world-renowned golf courses, exceptional social and athletic programs as well as 18 hotel rooms and 5 Food & Beverage outlets. Our City Clubhouse is located one block from Union Square and within easy walking distance of the Powell Street BART station. Our Lakeside Clubhouse sits next to the ocean on the border of San Francisco and Daly City.

The Olympic Club offers employees free golf on Mondays at our Lakeside campus and a variety of sports and social events for employees throughout the year as well as lunch and dinner provided every day.

Position Overview:

Person is responsible for teaching squash skills to participants in our junior camps.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Teaching Kids Fundamentals at our Squash Camps
  • Help with gym set up includes setting up exercise stations on court, handing out t-shirts, pennies, and putting out equipment
  • Post camp clean up which involves cleaning up bench area, picking up towels and cups, and collecting all equipment
  • Post camp social interaction with parents, conduct informal evaluations of their child and answer any questions 
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager or other management of The Club
  • Regular attendance required based on business expectations and needs
  • Adheres to all federal, state, local and San Francisco laws regarding health, safety and employment


Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

  • Must be old enough to have a work permit
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively with children and young adults
  • Must be a positive role model
  • Must have an excellent ability to teach squash skills to individuals and teams
  • Strong knowledge of squash rules and techniques
