Podcasting at Puck is redefining how people find jobs by connecting people to the teams they are looking to join. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Podcast Host to join the Puck team part-time and help us on our mission of helping people find good jobs and making hiring human. In this role, you’ll create engaging original audio content through storytelling, and manage the production process for Puck original podcasts with hiring managers and partners.

 

The right candidate is passionate about podcasting, highly organized, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and has strong creative intuition about how to tell a story. This is an opportunity to join a small team in a startup environment and learn how to grow a business.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Host and produce podcasts with senior leaders across industries
  • Coordinate timing for podcasts from inbound sales leads, and be available to work around external schedules
  • Lead post-production initiatives to level up the quality of the podcasting editorial
  • Do research to inform show topics and questions based on publicly available information
  • Share insights back with the Puck team based on guest experience
  • Actively participate in the strategy development and goal-setting for the podcast content
  • Develop podcast concepts for new content formats and remixes of the employer content
  • Develop growth marketing programs & campaigns to drive greater distribution for our podcasts in partnership with the team

 

Who You Are:

  • 1+ years experience in radio or podcasting production, likely for a college radio station or podcast
  • Experience working on interview based content
  • Comfortable conveying information and stories in a clear and engaging way for listeners
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Have your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in pop culture and on social media
  • Work under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about audio storytelling 
  • Understanding of sound design
  • Organized, self-motivated, avid reader/viewer/listener and an out-of-the-box thinker
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Comfortable developing marketing strategies using quantitative and qualitative insights

Time Commitment:

  • Full-time or +10 hours / week, with some variability
  • Required availability to meet with guests of the podcast and produce content
