Position Overview:

Supervises and oversees the day-to-day activities related to the diagnostic imaging services that may include radiography, fluoroscopy, Supervises and oversees the day-to-day operations of the MRI service line, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality imaging that supports safe, accurate, and timely patient care. Provides direct oversight of MRI workflows, exam preparation, protocol adherence, and coordination across multiple campuses. Partners closely with other clinical departments to maintain smooth service integration, safe patient transport, and effective communication throughout the imaging process.

Establishes daily work priorities, supports technologists in resolving operational issues, and maintains strong compliance with all department, affiliate, operating unit, and system policies, along with TJC standards and all applicable regulations. Leads efforts to improve MRI operations by identifying efficiencies, reducing variation, and applying Lean or other process-improvement tools to optimize throughput and patient experience.

Candidates with an active MRSO certification will be prioritized. If the selected candidate does not already hold the MRSO credential, they will be expected to obtain certification within six months of stepping into the role.

Collaborates with leadership and MRI team members to standardize workflows, strengthen MR safety practices, and drive positive outcomes across the MRI department.

HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)



CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists

OR CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist

OR ARMRIT-Certified MRI Technologist




TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

5 years of recent relevant experience.




SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge and understanding of applicable local, state, federal and other health care regulations and requirements – e.g., TJC, Medi-Cal, Medicare.

Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.

Seasoned knowledge and solid understanding of operations and workflows and how department’s process/workflow impacts other flows or departments.

Demonstrates ability to identify and resolve technical and operational issues problems as guided by policies, and procedures, or guidance from leadership.

Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve business objectives.

Demonstrates ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues.

Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.

Demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.

Demonstrates organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service/achieving business results.

Demonstrates commitment to providing exceptional customer service and responding to customer needs/requests in a prompt, courteous manner.

Familiar with MS applications – WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
