Our facility is equipped with advanced dental and surgical technology, including high-speed dental units, digital dental radiography, cone beam CT, surgical laser, and full anesthetic monitoring capabilities. We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to be the face of our practice and play an important role in ensuring our days run smoothly. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including but not limited to):

  • Excellent client service skills
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Computer skill preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and problem solve
  • Organized, ability to take direction, ability to handle money accurately and honestly
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Possess sound decision making skills and ability to multi-task while working in a stressful environment

Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Client service
  • Answer phone calls
  • Take accurate messages and book appointments
  • Maintain charts and computer records
  • Pharmacy and retail sales
  • Clean kennels and cages
  • Wash, fold, and restock towels and blankets
  • Clean surgery table between procedures
  • Marketing implementation
  • Maintenance/housekeeping
  • Financial responsibilities
  • Process patient photos and dental charts

Education and Physical Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have experience working in the public (ie: restaurant, retail or service business)
  • Experience in a veterinary hospital is required
  • Dependable attendance is required
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • The ability to walk, bend, squat, stand or reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day
