Summary
The HR Clerk will provide clerical support to the Human Resources Department to facilitate effective and timely HR service delivery to Team Members, and Managers.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain general, personnel and benefits files.
- Assist with administering final checks and collection of company property.
- Sort and Distribute U.S. and internal mail to and from Post Office/Tribal Admin/Casino Mailroom.
- Complete verifications of employment.
- Contribute to the overall engagement and satisfaction of Team Member by assisting with various engagement programs (H&W, rewards & recognition, annual survey, events, etc.).
- Assist with compliance files (I-9, Work Permits, Visa, driving records, food handlers’ cards) and process renewal notices and audits as required.
- Answer telephones to respond to inquiries and/or direct callers to appropriate team members. Assists Walk-In Team members and direct them to appropriate HR personnel.
- Assist department with reports and presentation preparations including photocopying, ordering, arranging, binding, etc.
- Maintain logs, reports, and correspondence as required by the HR Department.
- Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
Education / Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age, or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Minimum one (1) year customer service or office experience, required.
- Typing speed of 45 wpm, required.
- Demonstrate qualifying aptitude and abilities for clerical duties (math, spelling, filing, comprehension, grammar).
- Possess ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and maintain employee privacy.
- Intermediate knowledge with computer programs (Microsoft Office).
- Possess ability to relate well to people, communicate effectively, and work cooperatively with others to successfully coordinate activities to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
- Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
- Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
