We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide/Kitchen to join our kitchen in providing exceptional food service within a hospital setting.  The ideal candidate is a passionate kitchen server who can work in a fast-paced environment with a pleasing personality and the ability to work in a team for our Dietary Department. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in food preparation and serving meals to residents.

• Ensure that all dietary restrictions are followed according to residents' needs.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.

• Set up dining areas before meals and clean up after meals.

• Support the dietary team in inventory management and ordering supplies.

• Document and monitor food intake for residents as needed.

• Communicate effectively with residents to determine their food preferences and comfort levels.

• Assist in training new dietary staff members as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a Dietary Aide/Kitchen is a preferred

• Previous experience working in a healthcare or hospitality setting as a dietary aide/kitchen or cook is a plus

• Interest in working with the geriatric population

• Food Handler Certification is preferred

• Ability to work in fa ast-paced environment

• Ability to prepare meals in accordance with specific dietary restrictions or special needs

• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively

• Excellent multitasking and time management skills

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and referral sources.
