Summary: Seeking an Electronics Technician position to support our engineering efforts in areas of Hardware troubleshooting integrated circuits debug, Minor rework and assembly including soldering.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

 

  1. Assemble and test prototype electronic devices at the board level. This includes reading schematics and other technical documents, soldering, testing with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronics equipment.
  2. Generates reports.
  3. Develops the standards and methods for inspection, test and evaluation
  4. Maintain shop facilities including organizing tools and supplies, managing inventory of PCBs, maintaining equipment and suggesting improvements.
  5. Proficient in soldering a must
  6. Uses good judgment in making decisions in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establishes and maintains satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and customers.

Qualifications


Education and/or Experience:

 

  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree
  • 1-2 years of related work experience/training preferred
  • Experience using shop equipment and tools, such as signal generators, digital multimeters, power tools, and oscilloscopes.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and Soldering.

 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

 

  • Requires considerable knowledge of: modern office methods and procedures; modern business English, spelling and arithmetic; the operations of common office machines and equipment.
  • Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and customers.

 

Computer Skills:

 

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and create schematics in PDF
  • MS Office Suite
