Job Description
We are looking for a Clinical Coordinator for the BSN Nursing Program to join our team.
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and evaluating clinical sites used for clinical experiences in all nursing courses and maintaining positive relationships with staff at all clinical sites. The Coordinator participates in clinical faculty performance evaluation and assists as needed with student clinical placement. The Coordinator assists in orienting clinical faculty to ensure that program and course outcomes are met and makes site visits during each clinical rotation to evaluate and provide support for clinical instructors. The Clinical Coordinator may provide clinical coverage and teach courses, as needed. The Coordinator assists the Career Services Department in placement of newly licensed graduates into nursing positions.Â
Maintain all required documentation for faculty, staff, and studentsÂ
Monitor and mentor all clinical facultyÂ
Maintain strong relationships with clinical agenciesÂ
Perform agency site visits and document outcomesÂ
Facilitate the resolution of clinical faculty, student, and site issues that may ariseÂ
Ensure all clinical documentation is maintained on file and is accurate, current, and completeÂ
Orientation of new clinical facultyÂ
Work closely with didactic and lead faculty to ensure integration and application of theoretical content and achievement of clinical course objectivesÂ
Attend clinical orientations at clinical agencies, as neededÂ
Conducting on-campus orientations before students begin each clinical rotationÂ
Participate in faculty meetings, new student orientation, and other campus-based meetings as requestedÂ
Maintain 100% compliance with all accreditation guidelines in clinical aspects of the nursing programÂ
Collaborate with Academic Coordinator on clinical faculty performance evaluationÂ
Collaborate with Clinical Placement Manager on student clinical placementsÂ
Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Other duties as assigned to meet business needsÂ
Maintain compliance with all nursing state, Federal, and accreditation guidelinesÂ
Work and communicate effectively with all campus departmental staffÂ
Support all company initiatives by process and procedure as communicatedÂ
Teaches assigned clinical or laboratory course work, as neededÂ
Adhere to all company policies and proceduresÂ
Member of the clinical practice committeeÂ
Comply with all State, Department of Education, and accreditation regulationsÂ
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school or equivalent certificateÂ
Ability to maintain records Â
Willing to learn & maintain information on Microsoft Office 365 and TeamsÂ
Ability to shift quickly from one task to another maintaining productivity Must be capable of communicating effectively verbally and in writing Â
Has medical terminology knowledge or work experience in health careÂ
