Kawasaki Robotics is a leading supplier of industrial robots and robotic automation systems with a broad product portfolio, able to service a wide range of applications all around the world.  As a member of Kawasaki Robotics Semiconductor Customer Service team, the Customer Service Technicians installs, assembles, provides maintenance, repairs and refurbishes robots for semiconductors both at the KRI shop and at customers’ site.

  Responsibilities Include:

  • Troubleshoot and test the robots, as well as monitor and track the failures and other irregularities as reported 
  • Work closely with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to help understand, isolate and resolve problems 
  • Analyze and provide solution support across customer production sites that are in compliance with support agreements including hardware and software 
  • Verify the reported issues, document the steps to reproduce and validate the solution/fix.  This solution may be to apply the patch/upgrade or the change to the production environment 
  • Work with internal engineering teams to resolve customer issues that have not been solved through problem replication or known solutions 
  • Assist in all aspects of customer care as other dues may be assigned 

 Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent AND 2 or more years of relevant work experience OR college degree in an engineering discipline. 
  • Demonstrable understanding of mechanical and electrical theory are a MUST
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills are a MUST 
  • Ability to work both in a team work environment as well as independently under the minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with customers
  • Basic computer skills with MS-Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of robotics is a BIG plus point 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Up to 25% domestic overnight travel with a minimum notice
  • On a very rare occasions, international travel may be required

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Experience working in a Semiconductor manufacturing environment
  • Interest and passion for Semiconductor robots

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to carry, lift, push and pull objects weighing up to 50lbs and to bend, walk and stand with objects weighing up to 50Ibs
  • Must be able to work in a confined space
  • Must be able to work on/around moving mechanical parts for a long period do time
