⢠Perform hands-on fabrication and integration (mechanical and electro-mechanical) to support engineering development and validation.
⢠Rework or modify prototype components/systems to restore or improve functionality.
Testing & Development
⢠Conduct experiments and run test procedures; collect measurements and observations with attention to repeatability and safety.
⢠Assist in refining/reworking test setups to streamline process implementation and/or improve data collection quality.
⢠Troubleshoot test hardware, fixtures, and instrumentation; assist with root-cause investigations.
Equipment Installation, Calibration & Maintenance
⢠Set up, install, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment and systems.
⢠Diagnose issues, perform repairs where appropriate, and coordinate with vendors when needed.
⢠Maintain equipment readiness through preventative maintenance schedules and calibration records.
Data, Documentation & Reporting
⢠Collect, organize, analyze, and compile test data; create lab reports and update logs/records.
⢠Read and interpret drawings/blueprints; support inspection and quality-control checks.
⢠Document build/test procedures, configurations, and results to ensure traceability and reproducibility.
Collaboration & General Lab Support
⢠Partner closely with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders (test, manufacturing, analysis) and occasionally external vendors/clients.
⢠Support 5S / lab organization, continuous improvement activities, and flexible coverage across multiple projects and facilities as needed.
⢠Cross-train with other technicians to increase team capability and equipment coverage.
Physical Demands
⢠Bending, stooping, reaching, and grasping; routinely move materials up to 50 lbs.
⢠In this role, you will frequently climb ladders, operate foot/hand controls, and stand/walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Qualifications & Experience
⢠Associateās degree or certificate in an engineering/technology discipline (or equivalent hands-on technical experience).
⢠Strong hands-on technical ability in building, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
⢠Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and basic blueprint requirements; comfort using precision measurement tools.
⢠Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication/documentation habits.
⢠Comfortable working in dynamic environment, and changing priorities with a flexible, collaborative attitude.
