Description


In this senior role, you will serve as the primary technical liaison bridging Apple's cross-functional teams with our global network of component suppliers. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technology strategy, overseeing the design, validation, characterization, and qualification of magnetic components. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned engineer or scientist passionate about making a significant impact at Apple by delivering sophisticated magnetic component solutions that power our world-class products. This role requires approximately 10-20% overseas travel.

Minimum Qualifications


Deep Magnetics Expertise - Extensive professional experience in magnetics, specifically in the design and manufacturing of inductors, ferrite beads, and magnetic materials. Proficiency in material science, characterization, qualification, reliability testing, simulation/modeling, and statistical analysis is required. Cross-Disciplinary Knowledge - Familiarity with AC-DC and DC-DC circuit design, acoustics, reliability modeling, and device/system integration. Program Management & Influence - Proven ability to work as an individual contributor within a highly cross-functional environment. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to identify technical challenges, engage with suppliers, drive solutions, and manage programs to successful and on-schedule delivery. Hands-On Manufacturing Experience - A minimum of 5 years (preferably in the recent role) of direct and on-site factory floor experience in a relevant manufacturing field is mandatory. Education & Experience - BS in Electrical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics with a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, or MS in the above fields — with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, or PhD in the above fields — with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
