Perform bench-level testing and debugging of MEMS devices using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related instrumentation
Support test-program development by collaborating with test engineers and providing theoretical foundations for routines
Perform system-level modeling and simulation of MEMS and CMOS using MATLAB or equivalent tools
Prepare invention disclosures and contribute to patent filings
Support customer requests and technical reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to drive designs to production
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; or M.S. with relevant industry experience
3-5 years experience designing MEMS gyroscopes, accelerometers, resonators, or similar electrostatic MEMS devices
Strong theoretical understanding of electrostatic actuation, capacitive sensing, and multi-degree-of-freedom (multi-DOF) mechanical modeling
Experience with finite element modeling of MEMS (e.g., ANSYS)
Experience laying out MEMS devices using L-Edit or similar layout tools
Hands-on experience characterizing and debugging MEMS sensors with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related equipment
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to drive projects to completion
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and written/verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and collaborate across disciplines
Preferred qualifications
3–5 years of MEMS motion sensor industry experience (if not already covered by minimum experience)
Proficiency in data analysis with Python or equivalent scripting languages
Familiarity with electronics and integrated circuits
Experience with MEMS fabrication processes and wafer-level/package-level considerations
Experience with package modeling for MEMS sensors
