What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and support a team of employee medical couriers performing scheduled routes and time-sensitive on-demand deliveries.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and coach new team members.
  • Provide real-time operational support by resolving service issues and assisting drivers throughout the day.
  • Audit routes, schedules, and procedures to ensure service excellence, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Manage company equipment and supplies, including phones, ID badges, delivery bags, and temperature-control materials.
  • Review timesheets, productivity, service metrics, and customer feedback to improve performance.
  • Partner with Dispatch and Operations leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Build positive relationships with healthcare customers while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Foster a culture centered on safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.



Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in logistics, transportation, healthcare operations, distribution, or a related field.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of the Northern California service area, including San Jose, the East Bay, and the Peninsula.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays based on business needs.
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area and drive extended distances when necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or vocational education is a plus.
  • Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable personal vehicle with current registration and proof of insurance.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, GPS navigation, Microsoft Office, and mobile workforce applications.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.



Physical Requirements

This position combines office, field, and driving responsibilities.

The successful candidate must be able to:


  • Walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Bend, squat, kneel, and reach as needed.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Navigate loading docks, stairways, and healthcare facilities.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Drive throughout Northern California for extended periods.
