Optometrist - On-Call

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill the following two (2) On-Call Optometrist positions. These are non-benefitted positions that may be assigned to the various Gardner clinics on an as needed basis. The Optometrist provides direct primary eye care and guidance to Gardner patients and/or makes appropriate referrals. The position supervises Optometry Technicians and other support staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent experience and ability to provide strong customer service to patients from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is important.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Doctorate degree from a school of Optometry approved by the state of California.
• A current California License to practice optometry.
• Certificate in Ocular Pharmacology issued by the State Board of Optometry.
• An average of 50 post-graduate hours in Optometric-Medical education in the last 2 years.
• Current DEA license number (For Regular Part-time/Full-time Optometrist that work 20+ Hours)

Compensation:

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.
