As a Project Manager, you will lead the scoping, design, construction, and commissioning of large capital projects within the electric utility sector. Under general direction, you will oversee all aspects of assigned projects, often multi-year and high-profile, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met. Acting as an owner鈥檚 representative, you will safeguard the client鈥檚 interests, provide sound advice, and make informed decisions on their behalf. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional, multi-location project teams using proven project management methodologies.

Your Day-to-Day Activities:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Develop and maintain detailed project plans, defining activities, resources, milestones, and baselines.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Prepare business cases, manage budgets and contingencies, and maintain project governance documentation.

路 Track and analyze cost and schedule performance, identifying and reporting key variances.

路 Create and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards to monitor progress.

路 Lead meetings for project scoping, constructability, design review, bidding, construction, inspection, commissioning, and as-built review.

路 Negotiate and execute contracts, manage change orders, and report project costs accurately.

路 Facilitate communication, assign responsibilities, and ensure accountability across project teams.

路 Conduct on-site design and drawing reviews to identify and mitigate issues early.

路 Coordinate with government entities to obtain permits and approvals.

路 Engage with customers on land rights and property coordination.

路 Prepare and present project updates, risk assessments, and lessons learned to stakeholders.

路 Identify, track, and resolve risks, issues, and opportunities to maintain schedule and budget performance.

The Job Requirements:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 5+ years of work experience in project management or construction management

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with scheduling and Gantt charts

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 3+ years of experience communicating with and managing expectations with stakeholders

You鈥檒l stand out if you have:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Professional Engineer (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with electrical distribution, substation, or transmission projects

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
