Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Mobile Access Operations in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist customers, associates, and visitors with professionalism. You will use computer or tablet systems to document observations and communicate important information. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entry and exit areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, access points, and high-traffic areas to help deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
