Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information through preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting support, and month-end close activities. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position supports manufacturing operations through cost accounting, inventory management, financial analysis, internal controls, and compliance activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and financial reports.
  • Support manufacturing cost accounting, inventory analysis, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives led by the U.S. Controller.
  • Assist with ERP System Maintenance
  • Help with treasury management
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • ERP system experience
  • Experience and knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
  • Sales Tax Experience - Avalara experience a plus

Skills

  • Advanced Excel and must also have be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Physical Requirements:

The Sr. Accountant role primarily operates in an office setting with occasional interaction in a warehouse environment. The position requires:

  • Office Environment:

  • Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.

  • Long periods of sitting, typing, analyzing and reviewing documents and spreadsheets.

  • Warehouse Environment:

  • Occasional visits to warehouse and production areas.

  • Exposure to varying temperatures (heat included), noise levels, dust, chemicals and moving equipment.

  • Ability to walk, stand, and navigate warehouse aisles safely.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds occasionally.

  • Frequent sitting and computer work for extended periods.

  • Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and certifications, $95-105,000 annually
