SMOG CHECK TECHNICIAN

Description

We are seeking a qualified Smog Check Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is either certified to perform smog inspections or has the qualifications and experience necessary to obtain certification. This role is critical in ensuring vehicles meet emissions standards while delivering excellent customer service. 

Responsibilities:

•  Perform smog inspections in accordance with state regulations
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain compliance records
• Diagnose emissions-related issues and recommend necessary repairs
• Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
• Provide clear communication to customers regarding inspection results

Requirements

• Smog Check Technician Certification (preferred) or ability to obtain certification
• Minimum of 6 months automotive technician experience or technical training
• Strong understanding of vehicle emissions systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance
• ASE Certification or manufacturer certification (a plus)
• Experience working in a fast-paced automotive environment
