THE ROLE

The Senior Customer Operations Account Manager manages operations between AMD and a select group of large, strategic customers. They build trusted relationships across operational and leadership levels within both the customer’s and AMD’s organizations. This role requires a deep understanding of each customer’s business and the ability to break down barriers, build trust, manage expectations, improve operations, resolve complex issues, and help grow the partnership.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary operations partner for a select portfolio of large, strategic technology customers
  • Build trusted relationships with customer and AMD stakeholders across operational, managerial, and executive levels
  • Review customer backlogs and partner with factory, finance, sales, and customers to resolve issues
  • Manage business across the product lifecycle, including NPI and EOL
  • Manage inventory and DOI to minimize inventory costs
  • Analyze demand, supply, consumption rates, and ordering patterns for direct customers and distribution channels
  • Anticipate customer needs, remove barriers, and resolve complex order, supply, delivery, and operational issues
  • Strengthen customer partnerships to support business continuity and long-term growth
  • Lead key projects, improve processes, advise business partners, and support organizational strategy
  • Drive operational excellence and the implementation of new processes
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and operational meetings with customers
  • Collaborate across teams to share best practices, manage cross-functional dependencies, and remove obstacles

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive industry-related experience with a demonstrated track record of success

  • Experience managing operations for large, complex, or strategic customer accounts
  • Proven ability to build trust and deepen relationships with customers at multiple levels
  • Strong communication, emotional intelligence, executive presence, and relationship-management skills
  • Strong supply chain knowledge, with distribution experience preferred
  • Understanding of business strategy with experience identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional management skills
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and resolve internal and external conflict
  • Strong executive writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent industry-related experience
