The Creekside School is looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting students on the autism spectrum and want to make a meaningful impact in a highly collaborative, school-based setting.
What You’ll Do
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Special Educator and classroom team to support students with severe to profound needs in reaching their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals. You will:
- Support the implementation of IEPs, behavior plans, and communication programs
- Work directly with students to build independence, engagement, and social skills
- Collect accurate data on student progress throughout the day
- Help maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to ensure consistency and success
- Support students during classroom activities and community-based instruction

- You have experience working with students on the autism spectrum, particularly those with moderate to severe needs
- You are patient, calm, and able to stay composed in high-energy environments
- You enjoy working as part of a team and value collaboration

Requirements
- High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Education, Psychology, or related field)
- At least 1 year of experience in a classroom, school, or therapeutic setting
- Experience supporting students with developmental disabilities or autism
