  • The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field and the ability to work in a Unix/Linux environment.
  • The base salary range for this role is between $225,800 to $310,500 annually, with additional benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid leave.

NXPs Wireless Connectivity's Modem Systems team is a highly visible team involved in the design and simulation of
transceiver DSP architecture, verification, silicon bring-up, RF modeling and support for production/customer
issues related to PHY layer performance and implementation of next generation Wi-Fi and narrowband chip-sets.
Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:
1) Draw concepts from wireless communication theory to devise and construct suitable experiments to test performance and identify system deficiencies with respect to physical layer metrics like packet error rate, interference rejection etc
2) Evaluate results, identify root-cause deficiencies, and develop improvements to design wherever applicable
3) Develop automation tools and/or software using C/C++ or similar programming language to automate performance evaluation and data extraction and analysis
4) Support the evaluation and debug effort as silicon is characterized via various cycles of quality assurance all the way through production
5) Conduct PHY layer algorithm design and bit-true verification with the digital design team

6) Actively participate wireless standards such as IEEE 802.11 or BT-SIG.

Minimum requirement of this position:
ā— M.S.E.E. working in wireless communications industry
ā— Understand the fundamentals of Signal Processing and Digital Communications
ā— Fluent in MATLAB and C/C++
ā— Strong analytical and problem solving skills
ā— Familiar with MIMO and OFDM technologies
ā— Desirable to be familiar with IEEE WLAN 802.11 standards.
ā— Desirable to have scripting and automation skills
ā— Should be able to work in Unix/Linux environment

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:

$225,800 to $310,500 annually
