You will lead the charge on strategic FP&A, global tax structuring, inventory accounting, and the execution of our upcoming non-dilutive and dilutive capital raises (Series D / pre-IPO).

Job Description

1. Capital Raising, Capital Allocation & Investor Relations

  • Architect Capital Campaigns: Partner with the CEO to lead Series D equity rounds, strategic corporate investments, or pre-IPO preparedness.
  • Lead Board & Investor Relations: Own the delivery of quarterly board packages, dynamic cap table management, and precise cash runway forecasting for institutional investors.

2. Strategic FP&A & Growth Modeling

  • Model Hardware Capex: Own the 5-year corporate financial engine, modeling high-ticket tape-outs, IP licensing, testing hardware, and specialized engineering headcount.
  • Cash Flow Stewardship: Maintain a rolling 12-month cash flow forecast to precisely balance aggressive technical development with necessary liquidity.

3. Advanced Cost Accounting & Supply Chain Finance

  • Standardize Manufacturing Unit Economics: Build rigorous standard costing systems tracking Wafer Cost, Cost per Die, Gross Margin by product line, and yield loss variances.
  • Manage Vendor Financial Operations: Oversee contract metrics and financial reconciliations with global foundries, assembly/test partners (OSATs), and EDA tool providers.
  • Control Inventory Risks: Establish inventory valuation policies adhering to lower of cost or market (LCM) adjustments, obsolescence reserves, and multi-tier component tracking.

4. Corporate Governance, Accounting & Global Tax [1]

  • Upgrade ERP Systems: Drive the migration from baseline accounting systems to a robust, manufacturing-centric platform (e.g., NetSuite or SAP) with multi-currency capabilities.
  • Optimize Global Tax Strategies: Maximize the monetization of federal and California R&D Tax Credits, establish transfer pricing frameworks, and manage customs/tariffs for international shipping.
  • Enforce Compliance & Audit Readiness: Maintain institutional internal controls and lead year-end audits with a Tier 1 or Big 4 accounting firm. [1]
