SUMMARY 

The HumanResources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative supportto the department, includingcoordinatingrecruiting,hiring,newemployeeonboarding,andassistingwithotherHRduties. 

 

ESSENTIALDUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • MaintainHRdepartmentrecords,includingelectronicandhardcopyfiles,inatimelyandwell- organized manner; assist with record retention and destruction. 

  • ConductsI-9verificationsonnewhiresandtakesappropriateactionasrequired.Auditspaperwork for accuracy. 

  • Maintainaccurateandup-to-dateinformationonthecompanyintranetandotheronlinesites. 

  • Performsfiling,typing,datainputandotherclericalsupport. 

  • Assistswithonboardingdocumentationensuringnewemployeeshavecompletepre-employment packages and return required paperwork that is completed correctly and in entirety. Audits paperwork for accuracy. 

  • AssistincoordinatingvariousHR-ledprogramsandevents(e.g.,BenefitsFair,SummerIntern Program, etc.). 

  • HandleadhocemployeeHRquestions,aswellasresolveorfilterpersonnelissuestothe appropriate parties. 

  • Sortanddistributeincomingmailforthe Department. 

  • Processweeklytemporarystaffinginvoices. 

  • Completesverificationofemploymentrequests. 

  • Orderandmaintainofficesupplies. 

  • Thedutiesandresponsibilitiesareintendedtodescribethegeneralnatureandscopeofworkbeing performed by this position.This is not acomplete listing and other duties will beassigned basedon the position’s role within the business unit. 

 

EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE: 

  • AssociatedegreeinHumanResources,Business,orotherrelated discipline 

  • Minimum2years’previousadministrativesupportexperienceinaprofessionalbusiness environment, 1 year preferably in Human Resources 

  • Canbeacombinationoftraining,educationandrelevantworkexperiencethatisequivalent

  • Highlevelofdiscretionandinterpersonalskillstohandlesensitiveandconfidentialpersonnel matters and documentation 

  • Computer,filing,and10-keyskillsrequired 

  • Strongorganizational,record-keepingandfollow-upskills 

  • Attentiontodetailisnecessary; stronganalyticalskills favored 

  • ProficientinusingacomputerandMicrosoftOffice(Outlook,Word,Excel,etc.);Oracleaplus 

  • Prioritizeandmanagemultipletasks,changingprioritiesasnecessary 

  • Workunderpressureandadapttochangingrequirementswithapositiveattitude 

  • Oralandwrittencommunicationskillsasrequiredforthe position 

  • Self-motivated,proactiveandaneffectiveteamplayer 

  • Interacteffectivelyandprofessionallywithalllevelsofemployees,bothmanagementand staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WORKINGCONDITIONS: 

  • Generalworkenvironment-sittingforextended periods, standing,walking,typing,carrying,pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. 

  • Noiselevelistypically lowtomedium;it canbeloudonajob site. 

  • Occasionalliftingofupto30lbs.

Pay Range

$23.85-$31.50 Hourly
