About Us:

Santana Hills Healthcare Center is a 167-bed facility with 90 skilled nursing beds and 77 sub-acute beds, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care for rapid recovery in a central San Jose location.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises according to treatment plans
  • Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately
  • Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas
  • Observe patients during sessions and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist

What We Are Looking For

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current OTA/COTA license or certification in [State]
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, pediatrics, or outpatient settings is a plus
