Summer Camp Counselors are essential for ensuring kids have a safe and enjoyable experience at camp.
Counselors undergo intensive training starting as early as April 1, but no later than May 23.
Required trainings include lifeguard certification, swim teacher instructor training, and heat illness prevention training.
The position requires a minimum of one year of experience working with children or in a camp setting.
Compensation for the role is competitive, with salaries starting at $15 per hour.

Our Summer Camp Counselors are some of our hardest workers. We do everything we can to make sure all the kids that come through our camp stay safe, have fun, and go home with many stories of how they can't wait to come back. All counselors go through intense training to make sure we are prepared for the summer in the short amount of time we have before camp starts. Training begins as early as April 1, but no later than May 23rd List of basic trainings are below.

Red Cross Lifeguard certification is required (shallow water attendant accepted)

Swim Teacher Instructor Training (20-40 hours)

Heat Illness Prevention training

Tennis Drill Training

Basic Camp Counselor Training (10-20 hours)
