Product Manager Intern - Cybersecurity and AI

A10 is developing solutions to secure AI workloads from cybersecurity threats and exfiltration of sensitive information. Leveraging deep expertise in DDoS, application delivery and control planes, A10 intends to be a leader in the emerging field of AI cybersecurity by addressing problems related to taking AI inference applications into production alongside established web and digital applications.    

  

As an intern, you will be working closely with the product management and engineering teams related to AI, DDoS, control plane and application delivery. You will collaborate with these professionals to implement a part of the product roadmap related to use of AI for DDoS and cybersecurity.  You will receive mentorship and practical training in product management in the development and introduction of a new class of products that combine networking, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.  At the end of the internship, you will present your output to the broader engineering and product management teams.    

 

Throughout your time at A10, youwillreceive guidance directly from senior PM and engineering leadership and specific areas of A10’s go to market team.  This role has high visibility within the A10 organization.    

 

This is a 12-week full-time internship where you’ll work on high-impact projects that directly contribute to our mission. We’re seeking motivated students who want to apply their technical and research skills to shape the future of responsible AI. Please note this is an on-site internship based in our San Jose, California office. 

 

To qualify, You Must:  

  • Be actively enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, or a related discipline in United States for the entire duration of the internship

  • Be graduating between December 2026 - June 2027

  • Be available from May 2026 - August 2026 OR June 2026 - September 2026

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with product management, engineering, threat researchers and sales teams to understand emerging use cases and buyers for DDoS and cybersecurity and predictive operations  

  • Suggest product roadmap enhancements that can shorten the sales cycle or target buyers with early demand

  • Work with engineering to propose innovative new approaches to solve problems using recent and emerging technologies  

  • Under supervision, propose pricing and packaging solutions   

 

It would be useful if you meet these qualifications, but not a requirement:  

  • Background knowledge of application security technologies such as API protection, BOT protection and next-generation Web Application Firewalls (NG-WAF) 

  • Background knowledge of DDoS mitigation and detection 

  • Proficiency in Python, Java, and AI libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow  

  • Practical knowledge in adapting machine learning and LLMs to networking  products  

  • Excellent linear algebra and statistical skills  

  • A passion for resourceful and creative problem-solving   

  • Highly inquisitive and not afraid to ask the hard questions  

  • An open mind and interest in managing products, learning about customers, and working with A10 sales

BS: Up to $50/hour

MS: Up to $58/hour

PhD: Up to $65/hour
