Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist 

  • Assist in maintaining the SQF, USDA, FDA program, planning      and implementation.
  • Assist in analyzing, documenting, responding and      trending any Customer Complaints (Quality and Safety)
  • Assist in implementation, maintenance and evaluation      of Food Safety Culture.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating the food safety      daily and forms.

  

Lead

  • Lead and implement the chemical control program by      monitoring the chemical flow and coordinating with third parties to      conduct monthly chemical audits.
  • Lead and execute the Shelf –life testing and Retain      Sample collection for USDA and FDA products.
  • Lead in USDA initiatives such as validation, export      application and label approval.
  • Lead in preparing, scheduling and conducting the weekly      Food Safety Topic training and any refresher training.
  • Lead and schedule the new hire GMP training program      with the QA techs.
  • Determine non-conformances, initiate root cause      analysis and verify corrective actions have been completed and reported,      when needed.
  • Setup Data loggers for the USDA production.
  • Download and complete the CCP form with data logger information.
  • Lead on product shipment approvals, ordering supplies such as data loggers, ATP swabs and allergen swabs.
  • Lead on monthly HACCP/SQF meeting by organizing and conducting with proper documentation.

Requirements

  Verify and Monitor

  • Verify that the daily ATP swabbing is performed (When needed)
  • Verify that the pre-operational inspections for USDA and FDA are completed prior to production.
  • Verify daily the tasks performed as per the Master Sanitation Schedule and Master Cleaning Schedule
  • Monitor the tasks and documentation completed by the Q.A technicians, who are responsible for the food safety and quality tests and documentation.
  • Closely monitor and verify the CCP’s, log results, perform and document CCP deviation and corrective actions throughout all      stages of processing from start to finish.
  • Verify all Food Safety Reports are completed with all detailed information by the QA Technician and document it in SharePoint.
  • Monitor and Coordinate QA technicians break times, cover their breaks and shift.

  

Review and Conduct:

  • Review the daily USDA and FDA Q.A packet, document the observations and corrective actions by noon every day.
  • Complete daily pre-shipment reviews every day and document with USDA Packets.
  • Conduct Monthly Environmental monitoring and Listeria testing for Listeria. Coordinate with the third-party laboratory when needed.
  • Review and validate allergen cleaning program on a regular basis.
  • Conduct the monthly glass and brittle program and assist the FSQA Manager in the monthly internal audit program
  • Maintain Food Safety and Quality by enforcing employee GMP’s and verifying compliance with receiving, storage, handling, processing and product release policies and procedures. 
  • Complete USDA pre-shipment forms when products are shipped.
  • Coordinate with CSI and FSI with weekly USDA schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  

Other Requirements:

  • Required to work a full schedule of 6:30am to 3:00 pm or 7:00 to 3:30 pm from Monday to Friday
  • Required to work on weekends when needed
  • Required to be flexible with the schedule to accommodate any after hour trainings
  • This position requires you to be present on the floor for at least 70% of the scheduled hours.
  • Complete external certification within the provided work schedule and pre-determine timeline.
  • Required to be present in all customer audits and third-party audits held for Shaw Bakers.
