Job Summary and Mission

Shaw Bakers is a manufacturer of amazing artisan breads, sweet and savory pastries. We distribute local accounts: La Boulangerie de SF, Chase Center, Oracle Park… as well as some national accounts (Whole Foods Market, Trader Joes, Costco etc.).

Our operations are growing fast, and we are looking for a skillful Maintenance Technician for our South San Francisco factory. This position is a key role within the Shaw Bakers organization.

The Level 1 Technician will oversee the care and maintenance (both planned and unplanned) of all property and production including production lines, packaging, ovens, processing equipment, and utility systems.

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to the following:

• Complete work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards.

• Document maintenance and set-up procedures. Accurately fill servicing paperwork in accordance

with SOP’s.

• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

Summary of Experience

Minimum one (1) year of experience in:

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

• Mechanical: Gear cases and drives; replacement of bearings, sprockets, chains, shafts, seals etc.; overhauling equipment.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications are objective, non-comparative, and relevant requirements essential to performing a role anywhere in the company. Examples include minimum educational requirement or specific degrees, certifications, minimum number of years of experience in a similar role with similar scope or level of responsibility, experience with core technology tools or platforms such as Microsoft Office, equivalent military experience, etc.
