We are looking for a Development Coordinator to join our team! The Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating communications, providing administrative support, participating in community engagement activities, and supporting the organization’s fundraising efforts. This role will play a key role in cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, community groups, volunteers, and staff.  


Anticipated start date: July 1, 2026


COMPENSATION


  • Pay Range: $22.60 - $33.90 per hour
  • Full Time, Non-Exempt classification per FLSA 
  • Spanish Bilingual differential - 5% increase on the employee's hourly base rate of pay
  • Mileage reimbursement $0.725 cents per mile

  • Eligible to enroll into benefits on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. These are all high quality and comprehensive plans.
    • FCNI will cover 75% of employee's premium and 60% of employee's dependent’s premium on the primary plan offered-Cigna PPO Health Benefit, Vision and Dental PPO.
    • HSA & AFLAC plans available 
  • 403(b) plan which allows employees to contribute a portion of their salary pre-tax toward their retirement with a monthly employer match. Eligibility provisions apply.
  • 13 paid holidays annually
  • 17 days of PTO accrued annually (increases after 3 years of service)


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an administrative role or related field 
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor database systems
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) with a customer-service mindset
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a point of contact for Donor and Community partner inquiries via email and phone calls. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, community groups, volunteers, and staff.  
  • Coordinate department communication and correspondence- both internally and externally, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information. 
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and workgroups related to Development activities, providing administrative support and assistance as needed. 
  • Enter giftstrack donor records and communication within the CRM system. Ensure that all required documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with agency requirements 
  • Work directly with social workers and program staff to identify client and program needs and translate them into donor or community support opportunities, including procurement of in-kind donations.  
  • Attend and assist with community and agency events, mixers, presentations, and other opportunities to represent the organization and cultivate support.  
  • As needed, serve as support and/or back-up for other agency administrative functions or duties. 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned. 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer  
  • Occasional driving for community activities and donor engagement
    • Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle during daytime and nighttime hours.
    • Must be able to drive safely in various weather and lighting conditions 
  • At times, must be able to lift 15 pounds 
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities

Staff are expected to be flexible and adaptable to changing organizational needs, evolving contractual obligations, and/or as new projects emerge. This may include changes to work hours resulting from time sensitive duties/client needs, unexpected events, or to support operational efficiency. Flexibility in work hours may include evenings or weekends and the ability to adjust hours to accommodate team meetings, client services, and other operational requirements.
