Custodian I

 The Role: 

Our site in San Luis Obispo is seeking a Custodian to join our team. The Custodian is responsible for cleaning within the facilities, maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.  

What You’ll Do: 

• Cleans sanitizes and deodorizes restrooms, and break areas including all fixtures  

• Responsible for collecting rubbish, recyclable materials and properly placing them in the bulk collection area  

• Operate the cardboard bailer including banding bails  

• Sweeps floors, vacuums carpets  

• Keeps the Maintenance Supervisor informed of all issues  

• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned  

• Maintains a clean and safe work area  

• Wears required Personal Protective Equipment  

• Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures  

• Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor and identifies / corrects potential unsafe conditions  

• Dusting all surfaces and cleaning vents  

• Responsible for cleaning facilities equipment  

• Assists with relocating employees within the facility  

• Assists with setting up and tearing down for special occasions  

• Let’s the facilities supervisor know when supplies need to be ordered  

• Any other duties as assigned 

What We Seek: 

• High school diploma or equivalent.  

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk and stand during entire shift.  

• Works in a manufacturing and office environment.
