Job Summary:
- Creates and maintains the various installers our software uses, including F/X CAD, F/X Workstation, F/X Server, Planting F/X for Autodesk RevitĀ®, etc., in addition to the existing tasks of the team member.
Duties/Responsibilities (Installer Architect )
- Create new installers for new F/X CAD releases.
- Maintain existing installers, integrating updates, bugfixes,Ā creating new dialogs in AdvancedInstaller.
- Publish updated installers to S3 and the Autodesk App Store.
- All candidateās current Land F/X job responsibilities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and debug VBScript and Powershell scripting languages for use as Windows Installer custom actions.
- Ability to analyze Windows Installer log files for bugs and errors to build and integrate patches into the installers.
- Will be required to learn Windows Installer formatting and nuances with order of operations and dialog control to execute workflows and custom actions.Ā
Minimum Experience/Education:
- Must be a current employee of Land F/X.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk are required.
- Movement mainly consists of occasional walking or standing, frequent typing, reaching, and operating office equipment.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to view a computer monitor for extended periods.
Compensation:
- Though not guaranteed, potential compensation will be reviewed approximately six months after assignments begin, based on business needs and performance.
