Step into a life-changing role as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with our dynamic travel program, where your expertise helps patients breathe easier, recover faster, and regain independence. This opportunity specializes in respiratory care across diverse clinical settings, offering you the chance to influence outcomes while exploring the country. For a multi-week assignment beginning on 03/23/2026, you can bring your skill to the San Luis Obispo region of California, a place known for its coastlines, vineyards, and warm community spirit, and you’ll also have the option to experience assignments in other locations across the U.S. as you grow in your specialty. The work you do will matter deeply to patients and families, and every shift is an opportunity to refine your practice, collaborate with seasoned teams, and model compassionate, evidence-based care.

Location benefits: San Luis Obispo sits on California’s central coast, offering easy access to beaches, rugged coastal trails, standout dining, and a calendar of cultural events. Working here lets you enjoy a healthy work-life balance in a place that blends outdoor adventure with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. For those who crave variety, our travel model also provides opportunities to serve in other cities and regions, expanding your professional network and exposing you to a wide range of patient populations, equipment, and clinical protocols. You’ll have the chance to practice in hospitals, clinics, and community settings, gaining insights that strengthen your RRT credentials and expand your resume for future leadership roles. Beyond work, you’ll discover a region where sunsets over the Pacific, mission-style architecture, wine country, and coastal escapes create a rich backdrop for personal renewal.

Role specifics and benefits: As an RRT on assignment, you’ll assess and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, initiate and adjust inhalation therapies, manage ventilatory support, perform arterial blood gas interpretation, conduct airway clearance therapies, and provide patient and family education. You’ll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapy teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, document outcomes, and participate in performance improvement activities. You’ll have the opportunity to advance your expertise within the specialty, pursuing certifications in neonatal, pediatric, or adult care, as you demonstrate clinical excellence and leadership. We offer a competitive compensation package featuring a weekly pay range of 1,815 to 1,885 dollars, plus a sign-on bonus and housing assistance. Our extension opportunities let you extend your contract to continue making an impact wherever you’re needed next. We provide comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated travel support team as you navigate assignments, schedule changes, and housing logistics. You’ll benefit from flexible scheduling options with an emphasis on safety, patient-centered care, and professional development, while maintaining your professional standards and organizational values. Note that there are no guaranteed hours.

Company values: Our mission is to empower clinicians by creating pathways for career advancement and a supportive work environment where teamwork and learning are prioritized. We’re committed to sustaining a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous growth, where your voice matters and your expertise shapes patient care outcomes. You’ll find mentorship from seasoned travel healthcare professionals, access to educational resources, and a network of peers who share your commitment to delivering high-quality respiratory care while balancing personal well-being. The organization believes in recognizing talent, supporting ongoing education, and fostering a community where every therapist’s contribution accelerates collective success.
