Position SummaryÂ
The Hospitality Associate is a key member of the guest relations team and is the initial contact that most guests have when visiting the estate. Therefore, exemplary communication skills, a professional demeanor and a high level of customer service are required to ensure that all guests receive an experience that is congruent with the philosophy and customer service values. The ideal candidate must be systems savvy, extremely detailed oriented, the flexibility to manage multiple priorities and work well in a team environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Service:Â
- Greet all visitors with gracious hospitality Â
- Act as Ambassador to the estate and to Crimson Wine GroupÂ
- Provide informative, engaging and personalized tour and tasting experiencesÂ
- Educate guests about the winery story, wines, and brandÂ
- Inform and recommend to guests the benefits of Wine Club Â
- Effectively suggest and sell wine and wine club membershipsÂ
- Drive revenue by selling wine, merchandise, tasting, and memberships to guests Â
- Participate in special events and team meetingsÂ
- Actively continue education in wine production, viticulture, and winery historyÂ
- Represent the winery at outside functions when necessaryÂ
- Follow all company safety guidelines including Responsible Beverage ServiceÂ
Tasting Room Operations:Â
- Set up / break down all indoor and outdoor tasting room spacesÂ
- Opening and closing procedures as a keyholder
- Open and verify condition of winesÂ
- Prepare printed guest materialsÂ
- Open/Close POS system/registersÂ
- Stock wine and merchandise on tasting room floor and storeroomsÂ
- Perform sales transactions for carry-out and shipping ordersÂ
- Maintain clean and organized guest spaces at all timesÂ
- Assist with weekly and monthly inventory of items for the Tasting Room, includes wine and non-wineÂ
  Additional:Â
- RedChirp response and monitoring of textsÂ
- Regular review of website, TOCK maintenance of blueprints, edits and auditingÂ
- Inhouse updating and coordination of printing of TR collateral Â
- Merchandise, food program, and office supply ordering and maintenanceÂ
- Assist with coordination and execution of trade visits and tours as neededÂ
- Support private, signature, and club events, which may include evening shifts Â
- Assist with outreach efforts
 QualificationsÂ
- Must have knowledge of wine and food and continually take initiative to continue learning Â
- Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Sales aptitudeÂ
- Comfortable speaking in front of crowdsÂ
- Able to prioritize, manage time and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced venue
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.Â
- Able to stand, walk, bend, reach throughout an 8-hour shift with occasional pushing, stooping and pulling in indoor and outdoor work environmentsÂ
- Manual dexterity to handle, polish glasswareÂ
- Must possess or have ability to acquire a Wine service and Food Handler’s certifications
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekendsÂ
- Must be at least 21 years of ageÂ
- Experience with a luxury wine brand a plusÂ

The projected hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour (in addition to tips and commission). Â This is the projected compensation for this position however the actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as (but not limited to) candidate qualifications, related experience and education, candidate work location and market data. Crimson Wine Group reserves the right to modify the pay range/rate at any time in the future.
