Job DetailsJob Location: San Marcos Dealership - San Marcos, TX 78666Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: AutomotiveWe are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Mainline Service Advisor to join our growing dealership team. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced automotive service environment while delivering an exceptional customer experience. As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department — helping ensure repairs and maintenance are completed accurately, efficiently, and with excellent communication throughout the process. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally Listen carefully to customer concerns and document repair needs accurately Recommend maintenance and repair services based on vehicle needs Prepare repair orders and communicate estimates, timelines, and recommendations clearly Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding vehicle status updates Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accurate repairs Review completed work with customers and explain services performed Help maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores Follow dealership and manufacturer policies and procedures Assist with scheduling appointments and managing daily service traffic Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of automotive service advisor experience in an automotive service environment preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems Strong organizational and follow-up skills Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Professional appearance and positive attitude Automotive knowledge is required What We Offer Competitive pay plan Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Opportunities for advancement Supportive team environment Manufacturer training opportunities Schedule This is a full-time position.
