Learn more about us at https://learn4life.org/   How You Will Make an Impact The Warehouse Technician is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance and repair work duties such as light plumbing, inventory, earthquake bracing at the Resource Centers. This position will also perform duties associated with the Distribution Center.   RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: This list is illustrative only and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of tasks performed by this classification. Report and repair emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and earthquake bracing to ensure the building is safe Repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, walls, floors Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner Research inventory discrepancies or exceptions and make necessary corrections Maintain inventory accuracy Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner Data input in spreadsheets and software applications Perform work at the Distribution Center as needed Follow safety procedures at all times Maintain a professional and service relationship with staff at all Learning Centers Participate in trainings and meetings Administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time Adhere to attendance policies QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to perform a wide variety of general maintenance and repair work including: carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical, etc. Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools Good oral and written communication proficiency Communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multi task; proactive and deadline oriented Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions Good record keeping abilities MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma Minimum of 1 to 2years of related warehouse or general maintenance experience and/or training TRAVEL: Ability to travel in performance of job duties   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Adhere to safety procedures and wear protective safety gear Use maintenance tools, machinery and equipment Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination. Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together. Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Average Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machinery. Physical Strength; requires sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, loading, unloading, twisting, turning, bending, grasping and occasional lifting of 40 lbs. of force or more, climbing stairs or a ladder Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious exacting work required. Working in a noisy, distracting environment with frequent deadline pressures.
