VCA Animal Care Clinic is seeking an Relief Veterinarian to complement our talented team in San Pablo, California.
We are seeking a relief veterinarian to join our Northern California, East Bay Area team! We have a welcoming team, and we are looking for someone to add!
A relief position is perfect if you are looking for a high level of flexibility, or if you are in search of longer term opportunities and want to spend some time in a hospital prior to making a full-time commitment. We offer a variety of compensation packages and benefits for our relief doctors, and consider them an essential member of our support network. We offer competitive compensation: $1,300 - 1,500 per 10-hour shift.
Our well-appointed hospital with extended hours includes 8 exam rooms, treatment area, dental and surgery suites, in-house laboratory capabilities include Chemistries, Electrolytes, CBC and utilization of Antech laboratories for all other diagnostics. We also have an in house ultrasound and digital radiograph technology as well as the opportunity to send out all of our digital radiographs to a Board Certified Radiologist for an expert opinion. Additionally, we have Digital Dental radiographs standard with every dental procedure that our highly skilled RVTs assist with. We routinely have surgical monitoring and support that includes Cardell monitors including pulse ox and blood pressure monitoring with advanced urgent and surgical care capabilities. Lastly we also have Electronic Medical Records with computers in every exam room for efficiency of care, full pharmacy and a grooming Salon.
We are grateful for our loyal clientele that care for their animals and give a great emphasis on client education. We love our community and currently partner with over 30 area animal rescue groups in the greater bay area!
We are open 6 days/week, no on-call hours and flexible scheduling.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to continue practicing medicine in an established well-rounded hospital.
