Cedars Textile Art Collaborative (TAC) offers Cedars clients a diverse, fun, creative day program environment. We are currently looking for a compassionate, caring Full-Time Senior Program Instructor to join the TAC team.

As a Senior Program Instructor, you will work with retired participants to plan their activities on a daily basis. They may choose from work opportunities, community-based activities, volunteer projects as well as on-site music and art projects.The Cedars Senior Program is the only of its kind in the area and is located on 22 acres overlooking San Anselmo. The TAC facilities include a community garden, art barn studio space, upgraded kitchen, weaving studio and more!

This position will require some degree of hands on caregiving (help with personal hygiene, toileting, etc.), to the extent that a participant requires. If you are a patient, supportive and creative individual who enjoys helping others succeed, please apply!

The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The rate of pay is $21.75/hour. Additionally, a bonus of up to $1,000 will be distributed over the course of the first year of employment.

  • Experience working with developmentally disabled people is preferred.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn to provide direct caregiving when needed.
  • Experience leading, advising, organizing, and motivating groups of people.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • The ability to teach and provide skills in the program areas offered at TAC.
  • Willingness to pitch in when/where needed.
  • Ability to pass an employment physical including a TB test, and to meet the physical requirements of the job.
  • A valid DMV driver's license, a minimum of 3 years of driving experience, and a willingness to drive a passenger van.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire both.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ.
  • A good sense of humor is a plus!
