About the Role:
One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Tri Valley is looking for a driven and experienced General Manager to lead our growing team in San Ramon, CA. As our General Manager, you won’t be stepping into a corporate machine — you’ll be helping build a founder‑led HVAC operation from the ground up. This role is for someone who wants to shape culture, establish standards, and lead a team in an environment that values autonomy, craftsmanship, and accountability. We operate like a startup, but with the systems, training, and national brand recognition of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning behind us. You’ll have the freedom to build, the authority to lead, and the stability of a proven national brand supporting your success.Â
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the HVAC service business, ensuring efficiency and profitability
- Lead, coach, and develop field technicians, dispatchers, and office staff to meet performance goals
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, job completion rates, customer satisfaction scores, and technician productivity
- Manage scheduling, dispatching, and workflow to maximize service capacity and response times
- Drive sales growth through upselling, maintenance agreements, and new customer acquisition strategies
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, licensing requirements, and company policies
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support retention and referral growth
- Oversee budgeting, P&L management, and vendor/supplier relationships
Requirements:
- 3+ years of management experience in HVAC, home services, or a related trade industry
- Proven track record of leading teams and hitting revenue and operational targets
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, service operations, and industry best practices
- Experience with service management software (e.g., ServiceTitan, FieldEdge) preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to analyze financial reports and make data-driven business decisions
- Customer-first mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site in San Ramon, CA
