Maintenance Supervisor – Pradera / Deer Creek Property (San Ramon)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to ensure operational efficiency and safety at Pradera / Deer Creek Apartments properties in San Ramon. This leadership role is essential for maintaining high standards of property condition and tenant satisfaction. By proactively addressing maintenance needs, you will support tenant retention and contribute directly to the success of our property management team.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee all maintenance activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. You will also lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a productive and safety-conscious work environment.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Supervise, train and coordinate daily maintenance operations across multiple properties to ensure timely and effective completion of work orders.
  2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  3. Lead and train maintenance staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  4. Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to prioritize maintenance requests and communicate updates to tenants and stakeholders.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies through regular inspections and audits.
  6. Manage vendor contracts and service agreements, including negotiating terms and monitoring quality of work.
  7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment to support budgeting and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance roles within multi-family properties or property management.
  • Experience supervising maintenance teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general repairs).
  • Familiarity with safety standards, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient with various computerized maintenance management systems and property management software.
  • Ability to manage budgets and vendor contracts effectively.
  • Leadership training or certification (e.g., OSHA safety training).
  • Must work on-site at a specific residential property.
  • Work schedules may include weekends and require being “on-call” evenings, scheduled days off and holidays. May require occasional or permanent changes in work schedule as the needs of the property demand.
  • Contact with tools and equipment, including, but not limited to, hammers, drills, hand tools, electric tools and saws, augers, paint and drywall sprayers, and plaster guns, and with general office equipment.
