Community Medical Group is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and safety-focused Driver to join our team.

As a Driver, you will play an important role in ensuring patients have safe and dependable transportation to and from our medical centers. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, providing excellent customer service, and making a meaningful impact on the patient experience. The successful candidate will maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and care while assisting patients throughout their transportation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport patients to and from Community Medical Group locations
• Follow all transportation policies, procedures, and safety regulations
• Adhere to state and local laws governing vehicle operation and passenger transportation
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including brakes, lights, windshield wipers, and other safety equipment
• Complete accident and incident reports as required
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including monitoring fuel, oil, water levels, and tire pressure
• Maintain a safe driving record and uphold company driving standards
• Treat all patients with dignity, respect, and professionalism
• Assist patients entering and exiting vehicles while ensuring their safety and comfort
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout each transportation experience
• Contact patients in advance to confirm transportation schedules and pick-up times
• Follow transportation routes established by dispatchers and transportation leadership
• Deliver packages, supplies, and documents between medical centers and corporate offices as needed
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, and emergency response procedures
• Perform duties in an ethical, professional, and courteous manner
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional driving experience required
• Valid Florida CDL driver's license in good standing required
• Must have maintained a driver's license for at least seven (7) years
• Ability to read maps, follow routes, and complete required documentation accurately
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association preferred (training and certification may be provided upon hire)
• Strong commitment to patient safety and customer service
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make safe decisions while operating a vehicle
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned routes effectively
• Resourceful problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, caregivers, staff, and visitors
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole preferred
