Regional Admissions Director

Job description:

The Regional Admissions Director is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the admissions process across two communities within a defined geographic region. This individual serves as the primary liaison between the communities and referral sources, ensuring census targets are achieved through strategic outreach and consistent process implementation. The ideal candidate combines operational knowledge with sales expertise to drive occupancy and enhance the resident experience from first contact to admission.

Essential Responsibilities:

Regional Oversight:
Achieve the required census target for each community month by month.
Coordinate and support the admissions process at four communities to ensure census growth, efficiency, and compliance.
Serve as admissions director at all communities with the support of the administrators
Standardize best practices across communities for inquiry handling, tours, follow-ups, and documentation.
Referral & Relationship Development:
Build and maintain strong referral pipelines with hospitals, physician offices, case managers, discharge planners, and community partners.
Represent the organization at networking events, hospital case management meetings, and other strategic functions.
Admissions Management:
Monitor daily admissions, discharges, and occupancy metrics across buildings.
Provide hands-on support in facilitating complex admissions and resolving barriers (clinical, financial, logistical).
Ensure timely completion of pre-admission assessments and coordination with clinical and operational teams.
Process Improvement:
Conduct regular check-ins with each building to identify gaps and implement improvement plans.
Follow through with Administrators on improvements of the community that will drive sales, marketing, customer service and resident satisfaction
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure admissions processes meet federal, state, and company policies, including HIPAA and CMS requirements.
Review and maintain accurate inquiry logs, referral reports, and conversion tracking.
Assist in maintaining marketing and promotional materials for all locations.
Reporting & Strategy:
Analyze and report regional census trends and make recommendations for strategic initiatives.
Participate in census calls and regional operations meetings.
Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure appropriate resident placement and care continuity.
