Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-desk experience
- Confirm scheduled appointments and verify information for accuracy
- Verify and retrieve insurance information to ensure proper billing and eligibility.
- Review prescriptions and work closely with patients to choose the ideal eyewear for both medical needs and aesthetic preferences
- Provide honest and thoughtful guidance on frame choices, ensuring patients leave satisfied with their vision and style
- Achieve sales goals while delivering outstanding customer service and meeting individual patient needs
- Manage and maintain eyewear inventory to ensure a great selection of frames and lenses
- Perform adjustments and repairs on eyewear, offering personalized service that makes a lasting impression
- Collaborate with physicians to address prescription questions and provide clarity on eye-related concerns
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality while managing sensitive medical information
Skills
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Coachable attitude—ready to learn and grow in the optical field
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing patient needs and office demands
- Professional phone etiquette and a warm, approachable demeanor
