The Brand Reputation Manager supervises two FTE specialists, contributes both strategically and operationally, and is accountable to executive management for promoting and protecting the company brand, the group brand, and each individual store. Drawing on data from social media platforms, reputation software, and review sites for customer opinions. The Manager may be required to work with the company’s public relations team or executive management directly.

Duties/Responsibilities

Develops and demonstrates subject matter knowledge:

  • Understand and be able to execute the role of Social Media Specialist.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current trends, technology and best practices in how customers and prospects express their opinions about our business partners and brands.
  • Manages two headcounts, onboarding them into their roles, providing development opportunities, and regulating workloads for each.
  • This is a “hands-on” job and is expected to share the workload of the group.
  • Demonstrates a deep knowledge of core agency service offerings/capabilities.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment of a third-party reputation firm that provides best-in-class service and technology and can work within the reality of our budget.
  • Champion analysis/reporting that elevates reputation beyond simple “Google review responses” into a tool that allows Asbury to understand where its reputation is alongside chief competitors and the industry, highlights areas that are underperforming enterprise-wide and predicts patterns in guest behavior or expectations that we can adjust for before they become issues to solve for.
  • Has a working knowledge of social media copywriting techniques and best practices.
  • Performs quality work in support of the organizational North Star: "to be the most guest-centric automotive retailer:
  • Ability to differentiate between negative business feedback vs. potential public relations issue and the ability to escalate accordingly.

  • Manage company tools that govern employees, e.g., Dayforce
  • Demonstrates ability to handle concurrent tasks/projects.
  • Works within a fast-paced corporate retail environment.
  • Shows the ability to stay calm in all types of situations.
  • Shows consistent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Presents him/herself professionally in appearance and demeanor.

Shares information, requests, and acknowledgements professionally and clearly:

  • Coordinates clearly and consistently with other team members involved in marketing projects.
  • Develops and Maintains client relationships along with vendor and interdepartmental relationships.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills.

Education, Experience and Ability

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • In office expectation with ability to WFH one day out of five pending approval
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and MVR within company policy requirements
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
