As a Host/Hostess, you are the first point of contact for our guests and help set the tone for their dining experience.
Position Summary
The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing waitlists, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations. This role ensures guests feel welcomed and that dining room flow is efficient and organized.
This is a non-exempt position that interacts directly with guests and supports the front-of-house team.

As a Host/Hostess, you will:
- Greet guests promptly and provide a warm, friendly welcome
- Manage waitlists and provide accurate wait time estimates
- Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections and dining room flow
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, lobby, and entrance area
- Assist guests with questions and direct them to dining areas, including buffet or salad bar where applicable
- Answer phone calls and assist with basic guest inquiries
- Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and management to coordinate seating
- Maintain menus and ensure front-of-house areas are clean and stocked
- Follow all company standards for guest service and hospitality
- Adapt to varying responsibilities during shifts based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation
Pay Range: $12 per hour – $13 per hour
Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.
This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to 25–30 pounds
- Bend, reach, and move frequently
- Perform repetitive motions, including handling menus and materials
- Work in a fast-paced, high-traffic restaurant environment
Work Environment
This role operates in a full-service restaurant environment with exposure to high guest volume, buffet areas, and fast-paced service conditions. Team members are expected to follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
