Roles and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work directives and procedures, 2D sketches and other documents relating to the assembly of simulators
  • Assemble simulators:
    • Simulator visual system (metal structure, 55” screens, cabling, etc.)
    • Operator station (seat, motion platform, etc.)
    • Wiring of control units, buttons and other subsystems
  • Understand assembly tolerances and ensure the quality of the finished product to meet the standards in place
  • Prepare packaging before shipping simulators
  • Other tasks related to simulator assembly and maintenance of the workspace as assigned by supervisor
  • Be in control of your inventory: organization of the inventory, maintaining parts levels, etc.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma in electromechanics, electronics, mechanics, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, wiring, and electronics.
  • Ability to solder PCBs is an asset.
  • Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Autonomous, resourceful, and organized.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and handling equipment up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as part of regular assembly and handling tasks.
